Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

What are the v shaker fronts made from?
Each front is machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF — the v shaker detail is cut into a single board rather than assembled from parts, so there are no joints to move or telegraph through paint.
How much do v shaker doors for a IKEA PAX wardrobe cost?
V shaker fronts start at £44.50 excluding VAT, and every size on this page shows its own price before you add anything to a project. Prices are per door and include the machining — there is no minimum order.
Do the doors come primed or painted?
Neither — every door is supplied sanded. We machine it from moisture-resistant MDF and then sand the faces, edges, panels and mouldings to 240 grit, so it arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your primer. Seal it with a primer made for MDF before your top coat, and paint it any colour you like.
How is a V Shaker different from a standard shaker?
The margin around the panel. A standard shaker steps straight down to the recessed field with a square shoulder; the V Shaker steps down 2mm, runs a shallow bevel cut with a 150° tool, then steps down again. You get a defined, angled shadow line instead of a flat one.
Is the chamfer machined on the front or the back?
The front — it's a face detail, so the profile is cut into the face side and the back stays flat. That also means the hinge side and any back pocketing are unaffected by the profile choice.
Does the chamfered surround limit how small a door can be?
The surround needs enough rail and stile width to run in, so very narrow frames aren't practical on this style. The configurator won't let you set a combination it can't machine — it clamps the values and tells you why.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
