Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

What are the v-groove fronts made from?
Each front is machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF — the v-groove detail is cut into a single board rather than assembled from parts, so there are no joints to move or telegraph through paint.
How much do v-groove doors for a IKEA PAX wardrobe cost?
V-groove fronts start at £42.00 excluding VAT, and every size on this page shows its own price before you add anything to a project. Prices are per door and include the machining — there is no minimum order.
Do the doors come primed or painted?
Neither — every door is supplied sanded. We machine it from moisture-resistant MDF and then sand the faces, edges, panels and mouldings to 240 grit, so it arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your primer. Seal it with a primer made for MDF before your top coat, and paint it any colour you like.
Is this real tongue-and-groove boarding?
No, and that's the point. It reads as boarding from across the room, but it's one sheet with fine 45° grooves machined into it — so there are no boards to shrink apart in a warm kitchen and no joints to open up under the paint.
Can the grooves run horizontally?
Yes — vertical or horizontal, set in the configurator. The spacing is solved for the run's length either way, so the lines stay even end to end rather than leaving a narrow board at one edge.
How is this different from the Shaker V-groove?
Where the grooves go. This is a slab with grooves across the whole face; the Shaker V-groove is a recessed-panel shaker with a groove only along each rail and stile line, to imitate a five-piece frame.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
