Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

What are the coved fronts made from?
Each front is machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF — the coved detail is cut into a single board rather than assembled from parts, so there are no joints to move or telegraph through paint.
How much do coved doors for a IKEA PAX wardrobe cost?
Coved fronts start at £53.00 excluding VAT, and every size on this page shows its own price before you add anything to a project. Prices are per door and include the machining — there is no minimum order.
Do the doors come primed or painted?
Neither — every door is supplied sanded. We machine it from moisture-resistant MDF and then sand the faces, edges, panels and mouldings to 240 grit, so it arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your primer. Seal it with a primer made for MDF before your top coat, and paint it any colour you like.
How do you decide how many flutes a door gets?
You give us roughly the spacing you want and we solve the count, so the flutes land dead even from edge to edge rather than leaving a half-width one at one side. The cutter depth is solved with it, to hold a consistent flat between each flute at whatever spacing you end up with.
Is the fluting applied, or cut into the door?
Cut. The flutes are machined straight into a single sheet of high-density MR MDF, so there are no applied half-round mouldings to lift at the ends or telegraph a glue line through the paint.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
