Coved doors — fluted, and cut from one piece

Through-section
A coved door is a run of parallel concave flutes machined straight across the face — the soft, shadow-filled ribbing that has come back into kitchens and bootrooms, and the one detail that reads as expensive from across a room. Ours is cut into a single sheet of moisture-resistant high-density MDF, so there are no applied mouldings to lift and nothing to telegraph through the paint.
Tell us the door size and roughly how far apart you want the flutes; we solve the count so the spacing is dead even edge to edge, and set the cutter depth to hold a consistent flat between them. It is the same tool and the same solve as our coved wall panelling, so a run of doors and the wall behind them can be made to match exactly.
What you get
- Parallel concave flutes at a calculated even spacing
- One-piece ultra-high-density MR MDF — no applied mouldings
- Cutter depth solved to hold an even flat between flutes
- Matches our coved wall panelling — same cutter, same rhythm

Frequently asked questions
How do you decide how many flutes a door gets?
You give us roughly the spacing you want and we solve the count, so the flutes land dead even from edge to edge rather than leaving a half-width one at one side. The cutter depth is solved with it, to hold a consistent flat between each flute at whatever spacing you end up with.
Can the doors match a coved wall behind them?
Yes, and that's the usual reason to pick it. Our coved wall panelling is the same cutter and the same solve, so a run of doors and the wall they sit against can be set to one rhythm instead of two that nearly agree.
Is the fluting applied, or cut into the door?
Cut. The flutes are machined straight into a single sheet of high-density MR MDF, so there are no applied half-round mouldings to lift at the ends or telegraph a glue line through the paint.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
