Micro shaker — a 10mm frame, the slimmest shaker line

Micro shaker door in moisture-resistant MDF — angled view

Through-section

The micro shaker takes the recessed-panel look to its limit: a 10mm rail and stile leaves almost nothing but panel, for the tightest, most contemporary shaker line possible.

A 10mm frame is only realistic because the door is machined from a single sheet — there are no mitred joints that would fail at that width. We pocket it out of solid board to your exact size.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 10mm frame strong enough?

Yes — because it's machined from one sheet of high-density MDF rather than framed from separate rails and stiles, a 10mm frame stays rigid where a jointed door could never hold together at that width.

How small can the door be before the frame looks too tight?

A 10mm frame is deliberately minimal, so it reads best on medium and larger doors; on very small fronts you may prefer a wider frame. Preview your exact size in the 3D configurator before you order.

Does a slimmer or wider frame cost more?

No — the price is the same as a standard shaker at the same size, because it's the same board machined the same way. You're choosing the look, not paying a frame premium. Price only changes with the door's overall size.

Are these made to measure?

Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — these named styles are just presets you can start from and then size in the configurator.

How are they made?

From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
