IKEA sells no single 75cm hinged door — a 75cm frame is clad with a 50 + 25 pair. Ask us for a symmetrical bespoke 75cm front if you'd prefer one door.

Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

What are the shaker fronts made from, and how are they finished?
Each front is machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF — the shaker detail is cut into a single board rather than assembled from parts, so there are no joints to move or telegraph through paint. They arrive paint-grade and ready to spray or hand-paint, which keeps the price down and lets you match any colour.
How much do shaker doors for a IKEA PAX wardrobe cost?
Shaker fronts start at £38.50 excluding VAT, and every size on this page shows its own price before you add anything to a project. Prices are per door and include the machining — there is no minimum order.
How wide should the rails and stiles be on a shaker door?
Traditional English kitchens usually sit around 70–80mm, which is what our standard shaker opens at; drop towards 45mm or below and the door reads contemporary. You can set each rail and stile independently in the configurator, and it doesn't change the price — we price by area, so you're choosing the look, not paying for the frame.
Can I have the recessed panel on both faces?
Yes. Front-only is standard, but you can pocket the back face as well — worth doing on island ends, room dividers and any door that's seen from behind. It's a second machining pass, so the configurator reprices as soon as you turn it on.
Will the panel joints show through the paint?
There are none to show. A five-piece shaker is glued up from four frame pieces and a panel, and those mitres are what crack and telegraph through a sprayed finish as the parts move. Ours is pocketed out of one sheet of MR MDF, so the face is continuous.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
