Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

What are the raised & field fronts made from, and how are they finished?
Each front is machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF — the raised & field detail is cut into a single board rather than assembled from parts, so there are no joints to move or telegraph through paint. They arrive paint-grade and ready to spray or hand-paint, which keeps the price down and lets you match any colour.
How much do raised & field doors for a IKEA PAX wardrobe cost?
Raised & field fronts start at £44.50 excluding VAT, and every size on this page shows its own price before you add anything to a project. Prices are per door and include the machining — there is no minimum order.
What does “raised and fielded” mean?
The centre panel isn't recessed below the frame — it's bevelled up so the flat centre field sits close to flush with the surrounding frame, with an ovolo-moulded margin running around it. It's the most traditional face in the range and the usual choice for in-frame and period kitchens.
Is the moulding a separate piece stuck on?
No. The whole profile — moulding and bevelled field — is swept out of the same sheet of MR MDF. On a conventional door the moulding is applied or scribed and those joints are the first thing to open at the corners; there's nothing here to come away.
Does the raised field work on a door with a shaped head?
Yes — the moulding follows a raked or splayed head round, so the profile stays continuous rather than dying into the slope. Shaped heads carry a flat addition on top of the door price, whatever the style, and the configurator shows it as you set the legs.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — enter the size in the configurator and the price updates as you type.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
