Faux face frame kitchen base unit doors

Kitchen base unit doors in our faux face frame profile, machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact size. Base unit doors take the most use in any kitchen, so they need to be flat, stable and dead-square. Ours are machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF, so there are no framed joints to loosen behind the hinges over years of slamming.

The faux face frame is our most contemporary slab: a single flat panel with a fine 3mm groove machined 25mm in from each edge, tracing a crisp rectangle around the face. It reads as an applied face frame or an in-frame door, but it's cut from one sheet — no applied parts, no mitres, nothing to telegraph through the paint.

Frequently asked questions

What height are standard base unit doors?

Most UK base units are 720mm-high carcasses, which take a 715mm door once you allow for the gap. We'll cut any height you need, standard or bespoke.

Can you bore for my hinges?

Yes — we bore for Blum, Blum Inserta and Hettich hinges at the positions you choose in the configurator.

Do you do double-sided pocketing?

Yes. Shaker doors can be pocketed on the front only, or on both faces for a symmetric look — choose this in the configurator.
