Victorian shaker — two panels, split by a centre midrail

Through-section

The Victorian shaker adds a central midrail to the classic 80mm frame, dividing the door into two stacked recessed panels for a more decorative, period look — the traditional choice for Victorian and Edwardian homes.

The midrail and both panels are machined into a single sheet of MR MDF, so there are no joints at the rail-to-stile corners. The midrail sits centred and scales with the door, so it stays balanced at any height.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the midrail sit?

Centred by default, so the two panels are equal. Because it's positioned as a proportion of the door height, it stays centred whatever size you order — and you can move it in the configurator.

Can I have more than one midrail?

Yes — the Victorian shaker is a two-panel preset, but you can add further midrails in the configurator to create three or more panels.

Are these made to measure?

Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — these named styles are just presets you can start from and then size in the configurator.

How are they made?

From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
