Sliding doors run in pairs on IKEA's track and overlap, so the panel face is wider than half the opening (75 → 772mm, 100 → 1019mm). The proprietary alu frame/track is reused — measure your frame before ordering.

Sliding panels are not bored for hinges, so the price is the panel alone. Any width or height off this list is priced to the millimetre in the configurator.

How PAX sliding door sizes work

Two sliding panels share one opening and overlap where they meet, so each panel face is wider than half the opening: 772mm panels for a 150cm opening and 1019mm panels for a 200cm one. Heights follow the frame — 2010mm in a 201cm PAX and 2359mm in a 236cm one.

The aluminium frame and track are IKEA’s and are reused, so the panel face is the dimension that has to be right, not the size of the opening. Measure the panel you are replacing before you order.

Prefer doors that open the whole run? Hinged PAX doors are made in the same styles, bored for IKEA’s KOMPLEMENT hinges.

PAX sliding doors — FAQ

What size are IKEA PAX sliding doors?

A pair of sliding panels shares one opening and overlaps in the middle, so each panel is wider than half the opening: 772mm for a 150cm opening (the 75cm door) and 1019mm for a 200cm opening (the 100cm door). They are 2010mm tall in a 201cm frame and 2359mm in a 236cm one.

Do the sliding doors work with the IKEA track?

The panels are made to the standard PAX sliding face sizes, so they run in the aluminium frame and track you already have. Measure your existing panel before ordering — PAX sliding kits have changed over the years, and the panel face is what has to match, not the opening.

Are sliding doors drilled?

No. A sliding panel runs on IKEA's track rather than hanging on hinges, so it is not bored — and there is no hinge boring in its price.

Should I choose hinged or sliding doors for my PAX?

Sliding doors need no room to swing open, which suits a narrow bedroom or a wardrobe facing the bed; you only ever see half the wardrobe at once. Hinged doors open the whole run and sit on IKEA's KOMPLEMENT hinges, one door per 50cm frame. Both are made in every style here.

Do the doors come primed or painted?

Neither — every door is supplied sanded. We machine it from moisture-resistant MDF and then sand the faces, edges, panels and mouldings to 240 grit, so it arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your primer. Seal it with a primer made for MDF before your top coat, and paint it any colour you like.

Can I order a sliding door in a size that isn't listed?

Yes — these are the standard PAX sliding sizes, not a limit. "Customise in 3D" opens any panel in the configurator, where width, height and the rail and stile widths are set to the millimetre with the price updating as you go.

How much do sliding doors for a PAX wardrobe cost?

Sliding panels start at £90.00 each excluding VAT, and every style and size is priced in the table on this page. There is no minimum order.
