Rounded Art Deco Shaker

Rounded Art Deco Shaker door in moisture-resistant MDF — angled view

Through-section

The rounded Art Deco Shaker takes our stepped, terraced surround and softens every external corner with a concentric radius — the rounded treads stay constant-width as they step down to the recessed field, for a smoother, more streamlined 1930s look than the square-cornered original.

Like the rest of the range it's machined from a single sheet of moisture-resistant high-density MDF rather than framed from five pieces, so there are no mitre joints at the corners to crack or shadow through your paint. The stepped surround, rounded corners and recessed field are all profiled to your exact size.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference from the standard Art Deco Shaker?

Only the corners. The stepped surround is identical; this variant rounds every external corner with a concentric radius so the terraces curve around the panel instead of meeting in square corners. It's the same one-piece MR MDF construction at the same price.

Does a slimmer or wider frame cost more?

No — the price is the same as a standard shaker at the same size, because it's the same board machined the same way. You're choosing the look, not paying a frame premium. Price only changes with the door's overall size.

Are these made to measure?

Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — these named styles are just presets you can start from and then size in the configurator.

How are they made?

From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
