Classic shaker — the traditional 80mm frame
The classic shaker — also called the traditional shaker — uses a full 80mm rail and stile for the timeless, substantial proportion that defines the English painted kitchen.
Ours is machined one-piece from MR MDF rather than framed from five pieces, so the broad frame stays flat and joint-free. Pocketed from solid board to your exact size.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between classic and traditional shaker?
They're the same thing — a full-width (around 80mm) shaker frame. We machine it one-piece so the broad rails and stiles stay perfectly flat.
Does a slimmer or wider frame cost more?
No — the price is the same as a standard shaker at the same size, because it's the same board machined the same way. You're choosing the look, not paying a frame premium. Price only changes with the door's overall size.
Are these made to measure?
Yes. Every door is CNC-machined one-piece from moisture-resistant MDF to your exact width and height — these named styles are just presets you can start from and then size in the configurator.
How are they made?
From a single sheet of ultra-high-density MR MDF, so there are no mitred corner joints to open or shadow through your paint.
